The “Take a Hint, Day—We’re Done” Tea
This is the tea you reach for when you’re officially over it. The day’s been long, your patience is gone, and you need something to tell your brain, “Shhh, we’re clocking out now.”
Chamomile brings that soft, apple-like sweetness (without actually being apples). Lavender? It’s floral, not soapy—promise. Spearmint steps in to keep things fresh, rose petals make it look unnecessarily gorgeous, and linden flowers add a touch of honeyed magic without a single drop of honey.
What Makes Our Good Night Tea Special?
- Whole chamomile flowers, not dust: You can see them in the jar. Naturally sweet with a soft, apple-like flavor — no bitterness, no filler.
- Lavender that reads as floral, not soapy: Balanced against the chamomile so it registers as a scent note, not a dominant flavor. The proportion matters, and we get it right.
- Linden flowers add depth: A slightly honey-like, citrus-edged botanical that most chamomile blends don't include. It's what makes this blend taste more complex than it looks on the label.
- Spearmint keeps it from going flat: A cool, clean finish that prevents the blend from being one-note floral.
- Caffeine-free loose leaf in a glass jar: All botanicals, no tea leaves. Packaged in recyclable glass to keep the lavender and chamomile fragrant from the first serving to the last.
- Blended in small batches in Owings Mills, MD: We blend, check quality, and package here. You can tell the difference when you open the jar.

Good Night Lavender Chamomile Tea FAQs
What does Good Night Tea taste like?
Floral, gently sweet, and more layered than a standard chamomile blend. Whole chamomile flowers bring a naturally sweet, apple-like flavor with no bitterness. Lavender registers as a distinct floral note without going soapy. Linden flowers add a subtle honey-like sweetness and a faint citrus edge. Spearmint provides a clean, fresh finish that keeps the blend from going one-note floral. Rose petals are mostly visual. The overall character is calm, complex, and quietly rounded.
Is Good Night Tea caffeinated?
No. The blend contains only botanicals: chamomile flowers, lavender buds, linden flowers, spearmint, and rose petals. No tea leaves of any kind, no mate, nothing caffeinated. You can brew this at 10pm and it will not interfere with sleep. The naming isn't aspirational, it's literal. We built the blend specifically as an evening cup, which is why we left out anything that could keep you up.
Does Good Night Tea help you sleep?
We don't make medical claims about the blend. What we can say is that chamomile, lavender, and linden flowers have long traditions of being used as part of a calming evening ritual. There's no caffeine in the cup. Many people find that the warm tea itself, the ten quiet minutes it takes to brew and drink, and the floral aroma all add up to a good wind-down. For specific health questions, ask your doctor.
What honey pairs best with Good Night Tea?
A mild, light varietal works best. Our orange blossom or alfalfa honey complements the floral notes without competing. Bolder honeys like buckwheat or wildflower will be more present in the cup, which some people prefer for a richer evening drink. Add honey after straining while the tea is still warm, not boiling. A half teaspoon is usually enough. The chamomile and linden already bring some natural sweetness, so you don't need much.
Are your teas gluten-free?
All of our teas are naturally gluten-free. The catch is that not all of our teas, botanicals, and other ingredients come from gluten-free certified suppliers, so we can't make a certified gluten-free claim on the label. For most people that's a non-issue. If you have celiac disease or a severe gluten sensitivity, factor that in before ordering. We'd rather tell you straight than dress it up.
Do you offer a discount on multiple jars of tea?
Yes. Mix and match any 3 or more jars from our tea collection and save 15% at checkout. The discount applies whether you're stocking your own cabinet, splitting jars with a few friends, or putting together a gift set. Our blends are packaged in small batches in Owings Mills, Maryland, and the variety holds up well over time when stored properly. Try a few. They play well together.
How should I store loose leaf tea?
Keep the jar sealed and store it in a cool, dark cabinet away from the stove, the fridge, and anything strongly scented. Tea absorbs odors easily, and light and heat dull the flavor over time. Skip the fridge entirely. Condensation does no favors to dried leaves or flowers. Stored properly in its glass jar, your tea stays fresh and full-flavored for a year or more.
Why loose leaf instead of tea bags?
Tea bags are typically filled with broken leaf and tea dust. Quick to brew, fast to turn bitter, limited in flavor complexity. Loose leaf gives the leaves and ingredients room to unfurl and release their character gradually. You also get to see exactly what's in the jar, whether that's whole flowers, real dried fruit, or full leaves. It's a small change in how you brew. The cup tells the difference.
Are your teas vegan?
Yes. None of our teas contain honey, dairy, or any animal-derived ingredients. Every blend is plant-based: tea leaves, herbs, flowers, dried fruit, and spices. If you add honey from our shop to your cup, that's no longer vegan since honey is an animal product, but the loose leaf tea on its own is. The same goes for milk or cream you might add yourself. The jar is vegan. What you do with it is up to you.
