Dark Chocolate. Roasted Nuts. Fudge.
Someone's baking brownies in the apartment upstairs. That's what people think when this candle is burning. Not chocolate candle. Not dessert spray. Actual brownies in an oven somewhere nearby.
Haute Cocoa® Luxe smells like bittersweet chocolate—the kind you break off a bar, not the Halloween candy kind. There's cream in there. Roasted nuts. The edge of burnt sugar from fudge that sat in the pan too long. It's rich without being sticky-sweet.
This is the bigger version of our best-selling Haute Cocoa Jelly Jar Candle. Same scent, lasts 75 hours instead of 30.
What Makes Our Haute Cocoa® Luxe Soy Candle Special?
- Scent Profile: Dark chocolate, fudge, roasted nuts, cream.
- 100% American-Grown Soy Wax: Soy burns cleaner than paraffin — no black soot on your walls, no petrochemicals in the air. Every batch is hand-poured in our Owings Mills, Maryland facility and checked before it ships.
- 75-Hour Burn, 10oz Smoke Glass Tumbler: Cotton wick, no phthalates, no dyes, no synthetic colors. The smoke-tinted vessel has our custom Bee Inspired emblem and is reusable when the wax is gone — it's good glass.
- Built for Daily Burners: More than twice the burn time of the 6oz jelly jar version. For people who light a candle every day and don't want to replace it every few weeks.
The right size for anyone who burns through the small one too fast.
How to Use: Trim the wick to ¼ inch before each burn. Let the wax melt edge to edge on that first burn — about 90 minutes — to prevent tunneling. Keep individual burns to 3 hours maximum and let the candle cool completely before moving it. When roughly ½ inch of wax remains, retire the candle, wash the vessel with hot soapy water, and put it to use.

Haute Cocoa® Luxe Soy Candle FAQs
What does the Haute Cocoa candle smell like?
The Haute Cocoa® scent profile is bittersweet chocolate, fudge, roasted nuts, and cream — rich and warm, without being sticky-sweet. It reads as actual chocolate (the kind you break off a bar), not the cheap chocolate-candy version. One customer said it smells like "a pan of chocolate chip cookies just out of the oven," which is honestly the test we use. People genuinely think you've been baking when this is burning. It works in kitchens, living rooms, bedrooms — anywhere you'd want a warm, edible-but-not-too-sweet scent.
What's the difference between Luxe and the Jelly Jar version?
Same scent, different size and vessel. The Jelly Jar is 6oz, $18, and burns about 30 hours in a simple glass jar. Luxe is 10oz, $35, burns about 75 hours, and comes in a smoke-tinted glass tumbler with our custom Bee Inspired emblem — polished enough to stay visible on an entryway table, kitchen counter, or living room shelf.
Is this a good gift?
Yes — Haute Cocoa Luxe is one of our most reliable upgrade gifts. The chocolate scent and trademarked Haute Cocoa® name make it instantly appealing, and the larger vessel and longer burn time signal real investment without being over the top. Strong pick for anniversaries, milestone birthdays, hostess gifts where you want to bring something nicer, holiday gifting for chocolate lovers, and Valentine's Day. Pair it with our Haute Cocoa skincare line or a box of good chocolates for a complete gift in two minutes.
How long do the Luxe candles burn?
Our 10oz Luxe candles have about a 75-hour burn time when burned properly. The biggest factor is the first burn — let the wax melt all the way to the edges of the tumbler (about 90 minutes) before blowing it out, or the candle will tunnel and waste a lot of wax. With a clean first burn and proper wick trimming, 75 hours is realistic. Retire the candle when about ½ inch of wax remains in the tumbler.
Are the Luxe candles clean-burning and non-toxic?
Yes. Our Luxe candles are made with 100% American-grown soy wax, a phthalate-free fragrance oil, and a 100% cotton wick. Soy burns cleaner than paraffin — no soot ring on your ceiling, no petrochemicals released into the air. There are no dyes, no synthetic colors, and no phthalates. Every batch is hand-poured in our Owings Mills, Maryland facility and inspected before it ships. Safe to burn in kitchens, bedrooms, home offices, or any room you actually spend time in.
How do I get the longest, cleanest burn out of my Luxe candle?
Three things make the biggest difference. First, trim the cotton wick to ¼ inch before every light — long wicks cause smoke and uneven burning. Second, on your first burn, let the wax pool reach the edges of the tumbler (about 90 minutes) so the candle doesn't tunnel. Third, keep individual burns to 3 hours maximum and let the candle cool completely before moving it. Burn on a heat-safe surface, away from drafts, pets, and anything flammable. Retire the candle when about ½ inch of wax remains.
What can I do with the Luxe vessel once the candle is finished?
Reuse it. Once the wax is gone, wash the smoke-tinted glass tumbler with hot soapy water and put it back to work. The tumbler features our custom Bee Inspired emblem and is polished enough to keep visible — customers use them as catchalls for jewelry, makeup brushes, pens, or as small bud vases. The 10oz vessel is bigger and more decorative than our jelly jars, so it tends to find a permanent second life. We're not big on single-use anything, and these are too good to toss.
