We are hiring 2 part-time Worker Bees to join our operations team in Owings Mills, Maryland. This role supports daily operations through inventory management, order fulfillment, and customer service. This position requires dependable, organized individuals who can commit to weekend work and maintain consistent performance standards. Schedule & Commitment

  • Hours: Up to 24 hours per week
  • Weekend requirement: Must work at least 1 weekend day per pay period (possibly 2)
  • Growth potential: May transition to full-time or management based on experience and performance
  • Performance standards: Hours are reduced if performance expectations are not met

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service support

Position Overview

We're seeking a Daily Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day business operations, manage our team of workers, and ensure smooth fulfillment of customer orders. This role combines hands-on operational work with team leadership and customer relationship management.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Operations Management

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of warehouse staff ("Workerbees")
  • Monitor inventory levels through daily reports and visual inspections
  • Create batch records for production runs
  • Plan weekly production schedules based on demand
  • Update operational procedures as business needs evolve

Order Fulfillment & Warehouse Operations

  • Oversee complete order fulfillment process from receipt to shipment
  • Participate in daily fulfillment activities: processing orders, picking products, quality control, packing, and shipping
  • Manage incoming deliveries and coordinate with team members
  • Ensure consistent adherence to receiving and processing procedures

Staff Management & Development

  • Create and distribute weekly employee schedules
  • Train new hires on standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Maintain and update all procedural documentation
  • Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback

Sales & Customer Experience

  • Manage retail store operations and customer interactions
  • Oversee wholesale order fulfillment and client relationships
  • Conduct personal follow-up calls with key accounts
  • Partner with Brand Managers on direct mail marketing campaigns
  • Plan and execute retail events (2-3 per year)
  • Handle customer service inquiries via email, phone, and web chat

Technology & Systems Management

  • Maintain facility security systems (alarm codes, key management)
  • Manage Point of Sale system user permissions and access
  • Update and maintain customer databases in Google Sheets and Excel
  • Manage product listings on Faire marketplace
  • Handle shipping disputes with carriers and online platforms
  • Provide basic computer troubleshooting and workstation maintenance
  • Monitor POS systems for software updates and error resolution

Required Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience with ability to effectively manage teams
  • Background in retail operations or similar customer-facing business
  • Strong customer service skills and professional communication abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and Google Workspace
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Reliable, thorough work approach with consistent follow-through
