Position Summary

We are hiring 2 part-time Worker Bees to join our operations team in Owings Mills, Maryland. This role supports daily operations through inventory management, order fulfillment, and customer service. This position requires dependable, organized individuals who can commit to weekend work and maintain consistent performance standards. We're looking for team members who take initiative and contribute to a positive work environment.

Schedule & Commitment

This is a year-long gig, and most folks stick around for about 2-3 years. We can't work around school sessions. You’ll need to be available year-round. We are looking for people who live in or around Owings Mills, MD since that's where our store and lab are located.

• Hours: Up to 24 hours per week
• Weekend requirement: Must work at least 1 weekend day per pay period (possibly 2)
• Growth potential: May transition to full-time or management based on experience and performance
• Performance standards: Hours are reduced if performance expectations are not met

Key Responsibilities

• Provide customer service support
• Stock and manage inventory
• Process orders (pick, pack, and ship)

Position Details

Position Overview

We’re seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations, manage order fulfillment, and maintain inventory accuracy. This role is hands-on, requiring a tech-savvy individual who can efficiently handle operational tasks while assisting the occasional customer.

Key Responsibilities

Order Fulfillment & Inventory Management

• Process daily orders, including picking, packing, and sometimes shipping.
• Track inventory levels and identify production needs.
• Create and manage batch records for production runs.
• Ensure timely restocking and accurate inventory tracking.

Operations & Team Support

• Coordinate daily activities and schedules for team members.
• Train staff on standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain and update operational processes as needed.
• Assist with incoming deliveries and ensure proper receiving procedures are followed.

Customer Assistance

• Provide support to occasional walk-in customers.
• Handle basic customer inquiries via email or phone.

Technology & Systems

• Use and maintain tools like Google Sheets, Excel, and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
• Troubleshoot basic tech issues and ensure systems are up to date.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in operations and working with and overseeing others.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, thorough, and able to work independently.
