Oh Honey, You’re Glowing

This isn’t just a body scrub—it’s a ritual. The kind of scrub that doesn’t sit forgotten in the corner of your shower, gathering dust. No, this one gets used. And once you try it, you’ll understand why.

What Makes Our Nectar+Honey Body Scrub Special?

  • Real honey crystals: Dried honey mixed with cane juice and molasses provides the exfoliating texture — not synthetic beads, not just sugar. Pairs with a phthalate-free honey fragrance oil for a scent that's warm and specific rather than generic sweet.
  • 83.5% organic ingredients: Sunflower seed oil, cocoa butter, and shea butter are all certified organic. Each brings emollient properties to the formula and leaves a residue of oil on rinsed skin — no greasy film, just a finish that makes the body butter step feel worthwhile.
  • Calibrated for rough patches: The sugar crystal size and oil balance are suited for areas that get dry and stay that way — heels, elbows, knees, backs of arms. Gentle enough for damp skin, effective enough to notice.
  • Pairs with Nectar+Honey Body Butter: Apply this scrub on damp skin, rinse with warm water, then follow immediately with the body butter while skin is still slightly damp. That's the sequence where the oils absorb best.
  • Hand-poured in Owings Mills: Made in our Maryland facility in small batches. Every jar is checked for texture, scent, and consistency before it ships.

Pair it with the Nectar+Honey Body Butter for the full ritual.

How to Use: In the shower or bath, scoop a small amount and work into damp skin in circular motions. Focus on rough patches — heels, elbows, knees. Rinse with warm water and pat dry. Follow immediately with Nectar+Honey Body Butter while skin is still slightly damp. Use within six months of opening and store away from heat and direct sunlight. External use only. Discontinue if irritation occurs.

Nectar+Honey Body Scrub FAQs

What does the Nectar+Honey scent actually smell like?

Honey, but not perfume-honey or candy-honey. Just honey. The scent hits before you even open the jar. Warm, golden, faintly toasted, with the kind of depth that comes from real honey crystals in the formulation rather than synthetic honey fragrance. It's the smell of opening a hive frame on a warm day, translated into body care and a candle. Not floral, not vanilla-sweet, not bakery. Just the honey itself, the way it actually smells in a kitchen on a Sunday morning.

Will the honey crystals leave my shower or drain sticky?

No. The honey crystals are dried honey blended with cane juice and molasses, and they dissolve as you work the scrub into damp skin. By the time you're rinsing, there's nothing left to clump or stick. The oils rinse cleanly too, leaving just a faint residue on your skin that the body butter step builds on. A quick warm-water rinse of the tub or shower floor afterward is all you need, same as with any sugar scrub.

Can I use this scrub on my face?

Better to keep this one on the body. The honey crystal texture is calibrated for rough patches like heels, elbows, knees, and the backs of your arms, and facial skin is thinner and more sensitive than the rest of you. If you want a scrub that works on your face too, our Sea+Tea body scrub is the one to reach for. The pumice is fine-ground and the formula is gentler on delicate skin.

What makes this different from a drugstore sugar scrub?

The honey is real, the oils are organic, and the formula is 83.5% organic overall. Most drugstore sugar scrubs lean on synthetic fragrance and a single carrier oil; this one uses sunflower seed oil, cocoa butter, and shea butter together, so the finish on rinsed skin is balanced rather than greasy or stripped. The honey crystals add their own texture alongside the cane sugar, and the whole thing is hand-poured in small batches in Owings Mills, which means somebody actually checked your jar.

How often should I use a body scrub?

Two or three times a week is the sweet spot for most people. Skin needs time to rebuild between exfoliations, so daily use can leave you feeling raw rather than smooth. If you're working on a specific rough patch, you can spot-treat it more often, just keep the rest of your routine on the gentler schedule. People with sensitive skin often do better at once a week. The goal is skin that feels softer afterward, not tight or stripped.

What's the difference between a sugar scrub and a salt scrub?

Sugar dissolves as you work it into damp skin, so the texture eases off the harder you press. That makes it gentler than salt for most body areas and especially for anyone with sensitive skin. Salt scrubs stay coarse the whole time and can sting if you've nicked yourself shaving. Our scrubs are sugar-based for that reason. Cane sugar exfoliates, then rinses cleanly without the stripped feeling some salt formulas leave behind.

Should I scrub before or after I shave?

Before, every time. A scrub lifts dead skin and softens the hair, which means the razor glides instead of dragging, and you get a closer shave with fewer bumps afterward. Scrubbing post-shave on freshly bare skin is asking for irritation, especially if you nicked yourself anywhere. The sequence is scrub, rinse, shave, rinse again. Then follow with a body butter or oil while skin is still damp.

How long does an opened jar of body scrub last?

About six months once the seal is broken. The oils stay stable longer than that in theory, but the scent and texture are best in the first half-year, and you'll feel the difference. Store the jar away from direct sunlight and out of the steamy splash zone in your shower; a shelf or caddy works better than the tub edge. If you notice the smell going off or the oils separating in a way that won't stir back together, it's time for a new one.
