Five Vitamins, One Jar
Eighteen months to get this right. Test batches in Owings Mills. Friends trying different versions. More test batches. People with sensitive skin emailing us asking when it would be ready. We finally landed on a formula that worked—not just for normal skin, but for the people who can't use most face creams without breaking out in itchy red patches.
Five vitamins: A, B, C, D, E. Not because it sounds good on a label, but because we wanted something that actually did more than just sit on top of your skin. Light citrus scent in the morning—the kind that wakes you up without smelling like cleaning products. Absorbs fast enough that you're not standing in front of the mirror waiting to put on sunscreen.
What Makes Our Vitamin Bee® Day Cream Special?
- Five vitamins in one formula: Vitamins A (retinyl palmitate), B (pantothenic acid), C (ascorbyl palmitate), D (cholecalciferol), and E (tocopheryl acetate) — all in a single lightweight facial cream formulated for daily morning use.
- Cupuacu seed butter and apricot kernel oil: Cupuacu is pressed from the seeds of an Amazonian tree related to cacao — dense in the jar, absorbs quickly on skin. Apricot kernel oil is lightweight and absorbs without leaving shine. Combined with rosehip seed oil, the base keeps the formula from sitting on the surface.
- Citrus essential oils: Smells like fresh orange peel, not a candle or cleaning product. Present at application, absorbed and settled by the time sunscreen goes on.
- Plant-based, no parabens, no sulfates: Eighteen months of test batches — dry skin, oily skin, combination, sensitive — before the formula was finalized. No synthetic fragrance.
- Small batch, Owings Mills: Made by hand in our Maryland facility in a 1oz glass jar. Every batch is checked for scent and texture before it ships.
One jar fits in a travel bag — stock up if you use it daily.
How to Use: Wash your face and pat dry, leaving skin slightly damp. Warm a dime-sized amount between your palms and press into face and neck, starting at the cheeks and working outward. Give it thirty seconds to absorb before applying sunscreen or makeup. Use within six months of opening and store away from heat and direct sunlight. External use only. Discontinue if irritation occurs.

Vitamin Bee® Day Cream FAQs
What does Vitamin Bee® Day Cream do?
Vitamin Bee® Day Cream is a five-vitamin facial moisturizer for daily morning use, scented with citrus essential oils. The formula combines apricot kernel oil (Prunus armeniaca), cupuacu seed butter (Theobroma grandiflorum), and rosehip seed oil (Rosa canina) with vitamins A, B, C, D, and E. Press a dime-sized amount into clean, slightly damp skin and give it about thirty seconds to absorb. Sunscreen and makeup go on next, with no waiting.
Is Vitamin Bee® Day Cream good for sensitive skin?
This is the formula Kara spent eighteen months developing for people who react to most face creams. No synthetic fragrance, no parabens, no sulfates. Customers with eczema, rosacea, and dermatitis have written in to say they finally have a daily moisturizer their skin tolerates. Everyone's skin reacts differently, so patch test on the inside of your wrist for 24 hours before going to your face, especially if you have a known reaction to citrus essential oils.
Does Vitamin Bee® Day Cream layer well under sunscreen and makeup?
Yes, that is the design intent. The cupuacu seed butter (Theobroma grandiflorum) base is dense in the jar but absorbs quickly on skin, so you are not standing at the mirror waiting for cream to dry. Apply a dime-sized amount to clean, slightly damp skin, work it from your cheeks outward, and give it about thirty seconds. By then your skin is ready for SPF, serum, foundation, or whatever you layer on next.
What do the five vitamins in Vitamin Bee® Day Cream actually do?
Vitamins A (retinyl palmitate), B (pantothenic acid), C (ascorbyl palmitate), D (cholecalciferol), and E (tocopheryl acetate) are paired with daytime use because most skin shows its environmental wear in waking hours. Together they support hydration, brightness, and the skin barrier. The formula is built around a base that absorbs rather than sitting on the surface of your face, so the vitamins actually have somewhere to go.
What's the difference between Vitamin Bee® Day Cream and Night Cream?
The Day Cream and Night Cream share the same plant-based base of apricot kernel oil and cupuacu seed butter (Theobroma grandiflorum), so they feel familiar on your skin from one to the other. The vitamin profiles and scents are tuned for time of day. The Night Cream is lavender-scented to settle you toward sleep and adds MSM and DMAE to the A, C, D, and E vitamin complex. Most people use both: morning after washing, evening before bed.
How long does Vitamin Bee® face cream last, and how should I store it?
A 1oz recyclable glass jar holds plenty for nightly (or twice-daily) use once you find your pea-sized amount, since a little really does go far. Use it within six months of opening so the vitamin complex and essential oils stay at their best. Store the jar away from direct sunlight and heat. A bathroom shelf out of the shower steam, or a bedside drawer, both work. The glass jar is recyclable when you've finished.
Where is Vitamin Bee® face cream made?
Every Vitamin Bee® product is formulated and poured by hand at our USDA-licensed facility in Owings Mills, Maryland. Small batches, checked for scent and texture before each one goes out the door. The 1oz jar is recyclable glass, the formula carries no synthetic fragrance, and the lavender and other essential oils are real botanicals rather than fragrance compounds. You are buying the version Kara would put on her own face.
Is Vitamin Bee® face cream vegan?
Yes. Every product in the Vitamin Bee® line is plant-based and vegan, which is a little unexpected from a brand built around beekeeping. The vitamins come from cosmetic-grade plant and lab-derived sources rather than beeswax or honey. The base is apricot kernel oil, cupuacu seed butter, and rosehip seed oil (Rosa canina), with essential oils for scent. No animal-derived ingredients, no animal testing, no exceptions.
What makes the Vitamin Bee® line different from other facial moisturizers?
The Vitamin Bee® line is built on a plant-based base of apricot kernel oil (Prunus armeniaca) and cupuacu seed butter (Theobroma grandiflorum), the soft cocoa-relative butter from the Amazon that absorbs without leaving a film. From there, each product layers in its own vitamin complex and scent profile for time of day. No parabens, no sulfates, no synthetic fragrance. Everything is made in small batches at our Owings Mills facility, checked by hand before it ships.
