The One That Turns Colors
Someone's always watching when you add lemon to the blue one. The drink shifts from deep indigo to electric purple right there in the glass. People stop mid-conversation. They pull out their phones. Nobody believes it's just tea and citrus.
These three teas don't sit in your cupboard collecting dust. They go into cocktails. They turn mocktails into something people remember. They make ordinary drinks do things that start conversations. The blue one changes color. The berry one stains ice cubes deep ruby. The black tea one smells like walking through a lavender field with bergamot in your pocket.
Started making these for a bartender friend who kept asking what we could do with tea besides drink it hot. Turns out—a lot. The butterfly pea flower tea became the bar's signature ingredient. The midnight berry replaced simple syrup in sangria. The Raven tea got stirred into cold brew and served over ice.
Small batches made in Owings Mills. We test every blend before it goes in the jar. Natural ingredients only—no dyes, no artificial anything. Just flowers, berries, and leaves that happen to do interesting things when you add acid or heat or time.
Behind the Bar (Or in Your Kitchen)
Brew It Blue: Steep a tablespoon of butterfly pea flowers in hot water for 5 minutes. Strain. Chill. Add to cocktails as a base and squeeze lemon or lime directly into the glass for the color shift. Works in gin drinks, vodka sodas, or just sparkling water.
Berry Sangria Base: Steep midnight berry tea in hot water (double strength), let cool, add to red wine with sliced fruit. The tea deepens the color and adds tartness without extra sugar. Let it sit in the fridge overnight.
Cold Brew Earl Grey: Put a tablespoon of Raven tea in a mason jar with cold water. Refrigerate overnight. Strain in the morning. Serve over ice with a splash of oat milk. The lavender comes through softer when it's cold-brewed.
Tea-Washed Spirits: Add a tablespoon of any tea to a bottle of vodka, gin, or rum. Let sit for 2-4 hours (taste as you go). Strain through a coffee filter. Use for cocktails with built-in flavor and color.
Fancy Ice Cubes: Brew any of the teas, let cool, pour into large ice cube molds. Freeze. Drop into drinks where they'll slowly release color as they melt. The midnight berry ones look dramatic in clear cocktails.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep the lids tight.
