Blush Apricot Luxe Soy Candle

Blush Apricot smells like ripe stone fruit at a farmers market in late July. The top notes are real apricot and nectarine — fruit-forward but not candy-sweet — with pear adding a lighter, juicier edge. Jasmine sits in the middle without tipping into perfume territory. The base is vanilla and patchouli with a touch of vetiver, which gives the scent weight and keeps it from feeling too sweet or one-dimensional. It reads as warm, fruity, and a little floral, with enough depth to work in a living room or bedroom rather than just a bathroom.

We don't fully know why, but the pattern is clear — customers smell it at our Owings Mills shop and routinely walk out with one or two. The scent is recognizably stone fruit without the candy-store sweetness most apricot candles have, and the musk and vetiver underneath give it depth that reads as "expensive perfume" rather than "fruit candle." Apricot is also one of those scents almost no one dislikes. Low-risk pick if you're new to our candles, reliable repeat purchase if you're not.

Honest answer: it's one of our lighter-throw scents. We've been upfront about this on our main candles page — Blush Apricot lands lighter than candles like Winter Forest or Double Espresso. The Luxe size helps somewhat (10oz has more presence than 6oz), but if you want a candle that announces itself from three rooms away, this isn't it. If you want a soft, perfume-like atmosphere in a bedroom, bathroom, or office, this is calibrated for exactly that.

Our 10oz Luxe candles have about a 75-hour burn time when burned properly. The biggest factor is the first burn — let the wax melt all the way to the edges of the tumbler (about 90 minutes) before blowing it out, or the candle will tunnel and waste a lot of wax. With a clean first burn and proper wick trimming, 75 hours is realistic. Retire the candle when about ½ inch of wax remains in the tumbler.

Three things make the biggest difference. First, trim the cotton wick to ¼ inch before every light — long wicks cause smoke and uneven burning. Second, on your first burn, let the wax pool reach the edges of the tumbler (about 90 minutes) so the candle doesn't tunnel. Third, keep individual burns to 3 hours maximum and let the candle cool completely before moving it. Burn on a heat-safe surface, away from drafts, pets, and anything flammable. Retire the candle when about ½ inch of wax remains.

Reuse it. Once the wax is gone, wash the smoke-tinted glass tumbler with hot soapy water and put it back to work. The tumbler features our custom Bee Inspired emblem and is polished enough to keep visible — customers use them as catchalls for jewelry, makeup brushes, pens, or as small bud vases. The 10oz vessel is bigger and more decorative than our jelly jars, so it tends to find a permanent second life. We're not big on single-use anything, and these are too good to toss.
