The Pink One
For people who blot their face at noon. The ones who carry powder in their bag, check the mirror after lunch, know which side of their nose gets shiny first.
This mask is rose clay and kaolin clay. Two clays that pull oil out of skin without leaving it feeling stripped or tight. The kind you mix fresh in a bowl on Sunday night when your face feels like it needs something.
Someone on WBAL-TV used it on camera. Another person freezes carrot juice in ice cube trays just to have it ready for mixing. One review said "blemish free" and "amazing shine," which are two things that don't usually go together but somehow do with this.
The color is that dusty pink you get from actual rose clay, not dye. Smells like buttermilk powder because that's what's in it. Some people mix it with yogurt for extra lactic acid. Some just use water. Your choice.
The Weekly Routine
- Mix two parts mask powder with one part liquid in a bowl. Start with water if you're not sure. Stir until it looks like thick frosting—not runny, not paste.
- Wash your face first. Always. Then spread the mask on with your fingers or a brush. Cover the oily zones—forehead, nose, chin, wherever gets shiny by 2pm.
- Leave it for ten to twenty minutes. The clay will dry but won't crack like concrete. When you rinse it off your skin should feel clean, not squeaky or tight.
Do this once a week. Twice if your skin is really oily. Follow with whatever light moisturizer you normally use. Even oily skin needs moisture.
Use within six months of opening. Store away from heat and direct sunlight.
CAUTIONS: External use only. Discontinue if irritation occurs. Store away from light and heat.
