The Pink One
For people who blot their face at noon. The ones who carry powder in their bag, check the mirror after lunch, know which side of their nose gets shiny first.
This mask is rose clay and kaolin clay. Two clays that pull oil out of skin without leaving it feeling stripped or tight. The kind you mix fresh in a bowl on Sunday night when your face feels like it needs something.
What Makes Our Clarity Dry Mask Special?
- Rose clay and kaolin clay: Two clays that draw oil from skin without leaving it feeling stripped or tight. Rose clay (pink kaolinite) sourced from the United States; white kaolin clay provides a second layer of absorbency. Used together, they're suited for oily and combination skin without over-drying.
- Buttermilk powder and oat kernel meal: Buttermilk powder contains natural lactic acid — gentle exfoliation without scrubbing or scratching. Oat kernel meal adds texture and is well-tolerated by sensitive skin. The smell when you open the jar is buttermilk — that's what's in it.
- Dried honey and coconut fruit juice powder: Both contribute to the formula alongside the clays. Dried honey is the same ingredient used in the scrubs — here it's in powdered form.
- Mix it your way: Water works. Carrot juice, almond milk, green tea, yogurt — all used by people who've found what their skin responds to. Two parts mask powder to one part liquid, stirred to thick frosting consistency. Mix fresh each time.
- Small batch, Owings Mills: Made in our Maryland USDA facility. Every batch is checked and smelled before it goes in the jar.
One jar goes a long way — a weekly mask use at one ounce lasts several months.
How to Use
Mix two parts mask powder with one part liquid in a small bowl until it reaches a thick, even consistency — not runny, not stiff paste. Wash your face first. Apply to clean skin with fingers or a brush, focusing on oily zones. Leave on for ten to twenty minutes, then rinse with warm water. Follow with a light moisturizer. Use once or twice a week. Use within six months of opening and store away from heat and direct sunlight. External use only. Discontinue if irritation occurs.

Clarity Dry Mask FAQs
Who is the Clarity Mask for?
Anyone whose face starts the day matte and ends it shiny. Oily skin, combination skin, the t-zone that betrays you by lunch. Rose clay and kaolin clay both pull oil from skin without leaving it feeling stripped, which matters because over-drying often makes oily skin produce more oil, not less. If you blot at noon, carry powder in your bag, or notice your nose getting shiny first, this is the one.
What does the Clarity Mask smell like?
Buttermilk. That's not a marketing flourish. There's actual buttermilk powder in the formula, and that's what you'll smell when you open the jar. Some people love the faintly tangy, slightly sweet scent. Some find it unexpected. There's no added fragrance and no essential oils, so what you smell is what's in the jar. The buttermilk powder isn't there for the scent, though. It contributes natural lactic acid for gentle exfoliation, no scrubbing required.
Will the Clarity Mask dry out my skin?
No, and that's the point. Plenty of clay masks for oily skin overcorrect and leave skin feeling tight, stripped, or peeling. Rose clay and kaolin together are formulated to draw oil without taking moisture along with it. The buttermilk powder adds gentle lactic acid exfoliation, and the dried honey contributes humectant properties. After rinsing, your skin should feel clean and balanced, not desert-dry. Always follow with a light moisturizer to lock things in.
How long does one jar of the Clarity Mask last?
A 1-ounce jar, used once a week at the recommended two-to-one ratio, generally lasts several months. You only need about a tablespoon of powder per use, depending on whether you're treating just the t-zone or the whole face. If you're spot-treating oily areas (forehead, nose, chin) instead of doing a full face every time, it stretches even further. Store the jar somewhere cool and dry, with the lid closed tight, and use within six months of opening.
What is a dry mask, and how is it different from a regular face mask?
A dry mask is a powder you mix with liquid right before you use it. No preservatives, because there's no water sitting in the jar for bacteria to grow in. You scoop out what you need, stir it with water (or whatever you like), and use it fresh. Wet masks have to include preservatives and stabilizers to stay shelf-stable. With a dry mask, the formula activates only when you're ready, which keeps the ingredients more potent and the formula simpler.
What can I mix the mask powder with?
Water works perfectly. Plenty of people get more creative: green tea, almond milk, carrot juice, plain Greek yogurt, even raw honey. The ratio stays the same. Two parts mask powder to one part liquid, stirred until it's thick like yogurt or frosting. Mix fresh each time, since once it's wet, it's wet. Different liquids add their own properties (yogurt is more soothing, green tea is antioxidant-rich), so feel free to experiment with what your skin responds to.
How often should I use a dry clay mask?
Once or twice a week is the sweet spot for most skin. Clay masks pull oil and impurities, and overdoing it can leave skin feeling tight or unbalanced. If your skin is on the sensitive side, start with once a week and see how it feels. If you're using it for a specific concern (a breakout, a dull patch, a Sunday reset before a big week), spot-treat the area instead of doing the whole face every time.
How long does the mask last after I open it?
Six months from the date you open the jar. Store it somewhere cool and dry, away from heat and direct sunlight, with the lid closed tight. Because it's a dry powder formula, the jar stays stable longer than a wet mask would, and you don't have to worry about preservative breakdown. One ounce, used once a week at the recommended ratio, generally lasts several months. If the powder ever clumps or smells off, it's time to replace it.
