Bathwater That Smells Right
The first thing people notice isn't the salts. It's the lavender. Not potpourri lavender or dried-flower-store lavender. Fresh lavender from the field—the kind that still smells green and alive when you crush it between your fingers.
We grow it on our farm. Harvest it when the buds are tight. Mix it with Dead Sea and Epsom salts that actually dissolve instead of sitting on the bottom of the tub like grit.
You know that thing where you run a bath and then sit in it for three minutes before getting out because it feels like a task you're completing instead of something you actually want to do? This is different. The magnesium soaks in. The water gets slippery-soft. The smell stays in the bathroom for hours after you drain the tub.
People use it differently. Some dump half the bag in for one deep soak. Others measure out a tablespoon at a time to make it last. One customer gets the salts wet and packs them directly onto sore knees in the shower, then rinses. It helps.
After-Work Ritual (Or Whenever You Need It)
- Run warm water. Dump in 2-6 tablespoons depending on tub size and how strong you want it. The salts dissolve fast. The lavender buds release their oil slowly.
- Get in while the water's still running so you can feel it change—slippery, softer, warmer than regular bathwater.
- Sit for 20 minutes. Longer if you want. The bathroom will smell like a field.
- Rinse off with cool water after. Some people don't. Either way works.
