Pomegranate. Fresh Sage. Wood.
Crack a pomegranate open over the sink. The juice gets everywhere — your hands, the counter, eventually the dish towel that was sitting next to a bundle of fresh sage from the garden. That's the candle.
Bright, juicy pomegranate up front — the cut-fruit kind, not candy. Fresh sage grounds it, green and slightly bitter the way actual sage is. Cashmere wood underneath gives it weight without going heavy.
What Makes Our Sage+Pomegranate Soy Candle Special?
- Scent Profile: Pomegranate, sage, cashmere wood, fruit.
- 100% American-Grown Soy Wax: Soy burns cleaner than paraffin — no marks on your walls, no petrochemicals in the air. Every batch is hand-poured in our Owings Mills, Maryland facility and checked before it ships.
- 30-Hour Burn, 6oz Jelly Jar: Cotton wick, no phthalates, no dyes, no synthetic colors. The jar is reusable — spices, seeds, wine corks, kitchen stuff that needs a spot.
- Year-Round: Popular in fall and winter but people burn it whenever they want something fresh but grounded. Kitchens, living rooms, bathrooms.
Order one for the kitchen counter and another for whoever's impossible to shop for.
How to Use: Trim the wick to ¼ inch before the first light. Let the wax melt edge to edge on that first burn — about an hour — to prevent tunneling. Keep individual burns to 1.5 hours maximum and let the candle cool completely before moving it. When roughly ½ inch of wax remains, retire the candle, wash the jar with hot soapy water, and put it to use.

Sage+Pomegranate Soy Candle FAQs
What does the Sage+Pomegranate candle smell like?
Sage+Pomegranate smells like cracking open a pomegranate over the sink while a bundle of fresh sage from the garden sits nearby — bright, juicy fruit colliding with green, earthy herb. The pomegranate hits first, sweet and tart and full of life, then the sage settles underneath to keep things from going candy-sweet. A base of cashmere wood adds depth and a soft, grounded warmth without making the candle feel heavy. The end result is a garden-fresh scent — actual fruit and actual sage, not fruit punch and not scented lotion. Customers describe it as fresh, balanced, and a little unexpected in the best way.
Is this candle too fruity, or too herbal?
Neither, and that's the whole point. We sometimes call this the "Switzerland of candles" because it works for two normally-opposed audiences. People who say they don't do fruity candles (because they smell like syrup or candy) burn this one because the sage and cashmere wood keep the pomegranate grounded. People who say they don't do herbal candles (because they smell medicinal or grandma-bathroom) burn it because the pomegranate brightens the sage and stops it from going dry. The two notes balance each other instead of fighting. If you've struck out on both fruit and herbal candles before, this is the version designed for exactly that.
When and where should I burn this candle?
Year-round, in just about any room. Sage+Pomegranate is most popular in fall and winter — the warm cashmere wood base and the deep ruby pomegranate notes feel especially right when the weather turns — but plenty of customers burn it through spring and summer too, when the sage and fruit read as garden-fresh rather than cozy. It's a strong kitchen pick (the herbal note layers well with cooking), a good living room candle (the wood base gives it presence), and a popular bathroom option (the pomegranate brightens a smaller space). Burn it whenever you want something fresh but grounded.

How long do the candles burn?
Our 6oz jelly jar candles have about a 30-hour burn time. To get the full 30 hours, keep individual burns to 1.5 hours maximum and trim the cotton wick to ¼ inch before every light. On the first burn, let the wax melt edge to edge — about an hour — to prevent tunneling down the middle. When roughly ½ inch of wax remains in the jar, retire the candle. Always let it cool fully before moving it, and burn on a heat-safe surface, away from drafts, pets, and anything flammable.
How do I get the longest, cleanest burn out of my candle?
Three things make the biggest difference. First, trim the cotton wick to ¼ inch before every light — long wicks cause smoke and uneven burning. Second, on your first burn, let the wax pool reach the edges of the jar (about an hour) so the candle doesn't tunnel down the middle. Third, keep individual burns to 1.5 hours maximum and let the candle cool completely before moving it. Burn on a heat-safe surface, away from drafts, pets, and anything flammable. Retire the candle when about ½ inch of wax remains.
Are these candles clean-burning and non-toxic?
Yes. Our jelly jar candles are made with 100% American-grown soy wax, a phthalate-free fragrance oil, and a 100% cotton wick. Soy burns cleaner than paraffin — no soot ring on your ceiling, no petrochemicals released into the air. There are no dyes, no synthetic colors, and no phthalates. Every batch is hand-poured in our Owings Mills, Maryland facility and inspected before it ships. Safe to burn in kitchens, bedrooms, home offices, or any room you actually spend time in.
What can I do with the jelly jar once the candle is finished?
Reuse it. Once the wax is gone, wash the 6oz jelly jar with hot soapy water and put it back to work. It's the right size for sugar, tea bags, paper clips, hair ties, bobby pins, spare buttons, loose change, jewelry, or as a small votive holder for tea lights. Some customers use them as bud vases or tiny salt cellars on the kitchen counter. We're not big on single-use anything, and the jars are too solid to throw out.
