Light It When You Need Balance

Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before lighting. Let it burn until the wax melts to the edges—about an hour the first time. Keeps it from tunneling.

Don't burn longer than 1.5 hours at once. Let it cool completely before moving it.

Keep away from dish towels, papers, anything that could catch. Don't leave it burning when you're not around.

When there's about 1/2 inch of wax left, you're done. Wash the jar with hot soapy water. Use it for something else.
