The Favor People Actually Brew
Most party favors sit in a drawer for months before getting tossed. These get brewed within a week. People open the muslin bag, see the small glass jar of loose leaf tea, and immediately want to try it. Then they text you asking where you got them because they want to order more. That's what happens when you give people tea that actually tastes good instead of the usual wrapped candies or personalized tchotchkes nobody needs.
We started making these for people who wanted favors that matched the effort they put into their events. Small glass jars—half an ounce each, which is about four cups of tea—filled with loose leaf tea. Seven jars of Bee's Knees (honeybush tea from South Africa that tastes like honey and molasses and toasted nuts, no caffeine). Six jars of Raven (Earl Grey with lavender, black tea with bergamot and a delicate lavender finish). Each jar comes in a 4x6" muslin bag that people keep and reuse for travel jewelry, spare change, whatever needs a small pouch.
The Bee's Knees is good hot or iced, naturally sweet without any sugar added, caffeine-free so you can drink it at night. The Raven is sophisticated Earl Grey—bergamot that's bright but not perfumey, lavender that doesn't taste like soap. Both are 100% pure tea, no artificial flavors or colors. We source and blend them carefully, supporting sustainable tea practices. The glass jars keep the tea fresh and look good on a shelf.
These work for weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, dinner parties, corporate events, holiday gatherings, or any occasion where you want people to leave with something they'll use. Set them on dinner plates as part of the table setting. Put them in a basket by the door so guests can grab one on their way out. Include them in welcome bags for out-of-town guests. Add a small tag with the guest's name if you want to get fancy.
Simple Brewing Instructions
- Open the Jar: Unscrew the lid. Smell the tea—that's half the experience.
- For Hot Tea: Use about 1 teaspoon per 8oz cup. Pour boiling water over the leaves. Steep 5-7 minutes for Bee's Knees, 3-5 minutes for Raven. Strain and drink.
- For Iced Tea: Double the amount of tea (2 teaspoons per 8oz). Brew hot, then pour over ice. Or cold brew overnight in the fridge.
- Reuse the Bag: The muslin bag is machine washable. Keep it for jewelry, coins, or whatever needs a small pouch.
- Each Jar Makes About 4 Cups: Half an ounce is enough to try the tea a few times and decide if you want to order more.
