Most body butters sit on top of your skin. This one disappears into it — whipped with Bee Inspired honey, organic cocoa butter, and sweet almond oil, it absorbs in thirty seconds and leaves a warm, faint honey scent that stays through the day.

Honey, But Make It Butter

This isn’t your average body butter that just sits on your skin like an uninvited guest. Nope. This one melts right in—like butter on warm toast. It absorbs, it hydrates, and it doesn’t leave you feeling like a greased-up slip ‘n slide.

What Makes Our Nectar+Honey Body Butter Special?

  • Real honey: Actual honey in the formula, not honey fragrance.
  • Whipped texture: Melts on contact with skin and absorbs without leaving a heavy residue. The consistency is lighter than a balm, richer than a lotion.
  • Warm honey scent: The fragrance oil adds warmth. The scent reads as warm and faintly sweet — not candy, not floral — and stays lightly on skin for a few hours.
  • Pairs with Nectar+Honey Body Scrub: Apply the body butter immediately after the scrub while skin is still slightly damp — that's when the oils absorb best.
  • Hand-poured in Owings Mills: Made in small batches in our Maryland facility.

Use it after the Nectar+Honey Body Scrub for the full ritual.

How to Use: Apply to skin after bathing while still slightly damp. Scoop a small amount and work into skin in circular motions. Concentrate on rough or dry areas — heels, elbows, knees. Use daily or as needed. Store away from heat and direct sunlight. External use only. Discontinue if irritation occurs.

Nectar+Honey Body Butter FAQs

What does the Nectar+Honey scent actually smell like?

Honey, but not perfume-honey or candy-honey. Just honey. The scent hits before you even open the jar. Warm, golden, faintly toasted, with the kind of depth that comes from real honey crystals in the formulation rather than synthetic honey fragrance. It's the smell of opening a hive frame on a warm day, translated into body care and a candle. Not floral, not vanilla-sweet, not bakery. Just the honey itself, the way it actually smells in a kitchen on a Sunday morning.

Does this body butter actually contain real honey?

Yes. We blend Bee Inspired honey directly into the formula alongside the cocoa butter and sweet almond oil. It's the same raw honey we jar for your kitchen, sourced from beekeepers we work with directly. The honey contributes to the texture and adds a faint warmth to the scent that fragrance oil alone can't replicate. Most "honey" body care relies on synthetic honey scent or honey extract powder. Ours actually has honey in it, which is also why it has to be stored away from heat.

Does the honey in this body butter make it sticky?

No. The honey is whipped into the cocoa butter and oils at a ratio that contributes warmth and a soft scent without turning the texture tacky. Once the butter absorbs, your skin feels soft, not coated. We tested ratios until the honey did its part for scent and skin without leaving any of that classic honey-on-fingertips feeling. If you've avoided honey-based body care because of stickiness, this one will surprise you. Most people don't realize there's real honey in it until they read the label.

Should I use this with the Nectar+Honey body scrub?

You can, and most people do once they try it. The scrub exfoliates and rinses clean. The butter goes on right after while skin is still slightly damp, which is when the oils absorb best and the honey scent layers. Both products use the same fragrance, so the scent stays consistent rather than competing with whatever soap you used. If you only buy one, the butter pulls more weight day to day. The scrub is the once-or-twice-a-week add-on.

How is body butter different from regular lotion?

Texture and staying power. Lotion is mostly water with a small amount of oil suspended in it, which is why it absorbs in a second and disappears just as fast. Body butter is mostly oils and butters with less water, so it takes a little longer to sink in but keeps skin feeling softer for hours. Ours is whipped to a lighter consistency than most body butters, which is why it absorbs in thirty seconds instead of leaving a heavy film. Use both if you want: butter after the shower, lotion for midday top-offs.

How do you apply body butter for best results?

Apply right after showering while your skin is still slightly damp. Scoop a small amount, warm it between your palms until it softens, then work it into skin in circular motions. The damp-skin step matters because warm, slightly wet skin lets the oils absorb faster and locks in more moisture. Concentrate on rough spots like heels, elbows, and knees. The whole thing should sink in within twenty to sixty seconds depending on the formula. If your skin still looks shiny after a minute, you used too much.

Will body butter leave my skin feeling greasy?

Not the way these are formulated. The texture is dense in the jar but built to melt on contact with warm skin and absorb in twenty to thirty seconds. You can apply, get dressed, and not transfer butter onto your shirt. The trick is using less than you think you need. A quarter-sized scoop covers arms or legs. If your skin still looks shiny after a minute, scale back next time. Most people find one jar lasts longer than expected once they get the amount right.

How should I store body butter and how long does it last?

Keep the jar away from direct sunlight and heat. A bathroom shelf is fine; a sunny windowsill is not. Once you open a jar, use it within six months for best texture and scent. Body butters can soften in summer heat and firm up when it's cold. Both are normal. If yours melts in a hot car, let it set back up at room temperature and stir if needed. The formula is still good, just briefly less photogenic.
