It's cupuacu butter—comes from an Amazonian fruit related to cacao—mixed with jojoba oil, avocado oil, seaweed extract, beeswax. The cupuacu butter makes it thick in the jar but it melts when it hits warm skin. The seaweed extract is there for minerals. The beeswax keeps it from separating.

It smells like the Sea+Tea scrub—gardenia, yarrow, bergamot, rosemary. Herbal and green. The kind of smell that reminds you of a place even if you've never been there. Coastal Maine, specifically. That's what the founder was thinking about when she made it.

People use this in the morning because it absorbs fast enough to get dressed right after. Some use it on hands during the day—sinks in before they have to touch their phone or keyboard. The jar lives on the bathroom counter and empties faster than the body butter jars.

Morning Routine

  1. After shower, pat dry. Leave skin slightly damp.
  2. Scoop out a dime-sized amount. Rub it between your palms to warm it.
  3. Spread it on. Arms, legs, chest, wherever. It absorbs fast—thirty seconds and you can get dressed.
  4. The herbal smell sticks around faintly. Not strong. Just there when you lift your arm.
