What’s Inside?

  • Winter Body Mousse (4oz): Organic shea butter, sunflower oil, apricot kernel oil, cocoa butter, kokum butter, jojoba oil, and rose hip oil with arrowroot powder. Lavender and citrus essential oils.

Why Winter Mousse?

  • No Water: Just oils and butters. No water means no preservatives needed.
  • Melts on Contact: Solid in the jar. Melts when it touches warm, damp skin. Turns into oil that sinks in.
  • Kokum Butter: Hard butter from an Indian tree. Less greasy than shea or cocoa butter alone.
  • Apply to Wet Skin: Use it right out of the shower while skin's still damp. That's when it works best.
  • October Through February: Only made in fall and winter. Once it sells out, we don't make more until next October.
  • Small Batch, Owings Mills: Made by hand in our Maryland facility. We whip every batch ourselves.

Mousse That Melts

Body mousse with no water in it. Just oils and butters whipped with air until they're light. When you rub it on damp skin, the warmth melts it into oil that sinks in immediately.

It's organic shea butter, sunflower oil, apricot kernel oil, cocoa butter, kokum butter, jojoba oil, rose hip oil, arrowroot powder. The arrowroot powder keeps it from feeling greasy. The rose hip oil is there for texture. Everything else is moisture.

Smells like lavender and citrus. Clean and faint. The kind of smell that doesn't compete with perfume or laundry detergent. Just sits quietly on your skin for a few hours.

People stockpile this in winter. Buy three or four jars in October, make them last until February when it sells out. Some use it year-round on hands and feet at night. It's only made fall and winter—when it's gone, it's gone until next October.

Right After Shower

  1. Get out of the shower. Pat off excess water but leave skin damp.
  2. Scoop out a quarter-sized amount. Rub it between your palms. It melts from solid to oil in five seconds.
  3. Spread it on while skin's still wet. The water helps it absorb. Start with dry spots—shins, elbows, feet. Then everywhere else.
  4. Put on cotton socks or gloves if you used it on hands or feet. Trap the moisture in overnight.
  5. The lavender-citrus smell sticks around faintly until morning.
  6. Keep it somewhere cool. It's heat-sensitive—will melt if it gets too warm.

Use within six months of opening. Store away from heat and direct sunlight.

CAUTIONS: External use only. Store away from light and heat in a cool, dark area. Discontinue if irritation occurs. This product is heat-sensitive.
