A little bit about ginger, lemon, and honey and why we selected these ingredients

Ginger

If you’re not crazy about ginger, I’m with you. I think it’s sharp and strong, so I use it in smaller amounts than recommended in my smoothies and juices. However, for this tea, I recommend just dealing with it. Above all, ginger is so good for you. It is especially good for nausea, stomach upset, and all the other nifty symptoms that come with cold and flu. In addition to that, ginger helps with respiratory issues.

Lemon

Add a little sunshine and vitamin C with some freshly squeezed lemon juice. With many amazing benefits, lemon is a proven antiseptic that helps with digestion, and it’s also a great source of calcium, magnesium, and bioflavonoids.

Honey

If you follow this blog, you already know that we think the world of honey. Honey is like what Windex is to the guy in “Big Fat Greek Wedding.” It is soothing and coats the throat, making it a helpful cough suppressant. Honey makes people happy. Happy people get sick less often.

In any case, there are all sorts of wonderful lore that Basswood honey has been used for hundreds of years to build and strengthen the immune system.

For one thing, it finishes with an "herbal" note. So, we have chosen raw Basswood honey for this recipe. If you don't have any on hand, it's ok; you can use any raw honey from your local beekeeper. Moreover, it feels good to support local artisans, and when you feel good about your actions, you feel good. Right?!
