Issue 3 - June 2023

This year, after a lot of planning and pushing to get everyone here on time to prepare the fields and plant the clover at just the right time, the planets aligned and just like that— our fields are bursting with clover. And the wild deer arrived in droves like magic!

I am fascinated by the Circle of Life in our farm fields. We plant the clover. The rain and sun encourage the clover to grow and spread. The bees pollinate the clover, and the clover comes into full bloom. The blooming clover gets “mowed” by the deer and that forces it to form a new flower. The bees pollinate the new blooms, and repeat. It is just one of Nature’s season-long ballets.

For me, Emily Dickinson’s poignant poem comes to three simple words: Love is the Answer. Love is my reverie. I love what I am doing here and though it is sometimes quite challenging, it eclipses any average 9-5 job. Cheers to loving the work you do. If you don’t love what you do, now’s the time to find your reverie!

Celebrate Summer Love

There are lots of reasons to love June. It’s the first full month of flowers. The bees are happy and gathering nectar. The kids will soon be out of school enjoying their freedom. Father’s Day is right around the corner, and IT’S MY BIRTHDAY! I am looking forward to celebrating with you.
