I shared it with a friend visiting us, and my little show entertained her and tasted delicious. August is the time of the year when I only want to drink cold drinks and eat raw meals unless we’re outside on the grill. This delicious drink will make you wish you had thought of it sooner. No dairy. No-fuss. In two minutes flat, you get a terrific morning or afternoon pick-me-up with little guilt. This recipe is also refined sugar-free, making it a healthier option.

For an extra creamy and flavorful iced latte, try adding a spoonful of nut butter like almond or cashew butter.

How to Make an Iced Plant-Based Latte

The full recipe is below, but in a nutshell:

Step 1: Mix Coffee & Honey

Make an espresso shot and melt honey or maple syrup into the hot coffee.

Step 2: Pour the Mixture

Fill a tall glass to the top with ice. Pour sweetened coffee over ice.

Step 3: Add Plant Milk

Add homemade plant milk to taste. You can use coconut milk for a creamy and frothy texture. For a high-protein alternative, use soy milk. Top off with more ice.
