Easy Turkey Chili Recipe
Turkey Chili is one of the best meals to put together when the weather is cold. Besides browning the meat, all you need to do is toss the ingredients together in a crockpot and wait a few hours for a deliciously filling meal.
- 3 lb lean ground turkey
- 3 bell peppers chopped try using one yellow, one red, one green
- 1 onion chopped
- 5 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tbsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 28 oz can diced tomatoes
- 15 1/2 oz black beans drained
- 15 1/2 oz light red kidney beans drained
- 15 1/2 oz dark red kidney beans drained
- 4 oz diced green chilis
- 1 c chicken stock
- 3 tbsp. chili powder
- 2 tbsp. ground cumin
1 tbsp. Eastern Shore Honey
- 1 tbsp. dried cilantro
- 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/4 tsp. chipotle chili powder
- 1 1/2 tbsp. kosher salt
- 2 tsp. freshly ground pepper
In a large saute pan, brown the turkey. While browning, chop all veggies. Add the balance of ingredients to your crockpot.
When the meat is browned, drain, add to crock pot and stir until all ingredients are combined.
Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours
