Our high-quality, certified Star K kosher honey products are delicious natural sweeteners, with a wide range of varietal and artisanal raw honey to suit everyone. Whether you enjoy honey in your tea, other dishes, or simply for its wonderful taste, we have a varietal for every person. Let's toast to pure, raw honey!
There are many wonderful culinary and taste benefits associated with the use of raw honey. The benefits of raw honey include its historical use as a natural sweetener and its retention of natural flavor compounds.
Natural honey is rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, which contribute to its distinctive taste and natural sweetness. Natural, raw honey also contains amino acids, making it a flavorful natural sweetener and a delicious alternative to processed sugar. Additionally, raw honey has natural properties due to the presence of flavonoids and polyphenols that contribute to its unique taste profile.
Replacing sugar and similar ingredients with raw honey in baking is not only more flavorful, but it also tastes better, too! Honey will increase the moisture of your baked goods since it naturally attracts moisture. Adding raw honey to hot tea with lemon or putting a light drizzle of it on top of yogurt are wonderful ways to enjoy sweet treats with natural flavor.
Since raw honey contains bee pollen, it offers the authentic taste of local flowers and botanicals. The smooth consistency of honey makes it perfect for adding natural sweetness to beverages and foods.
Natural properties are another notable characteristic of raw honey. This contributes to honey's versatility in culinary applications and natural beauty routines. In fact, raw honey has been treasured for over 5,000 years for its taste and natural properties.
Most honey in grocery stores is pasteurized honey, which undergoes heat treatment to remove impurities and extend shelf life but also diminishes several natural flavor compounds and beneficial nutrients.
While organic honey is often appreciated for its quality compared to conventional honey, it is essential to note that an organic label indicates production methods but taste preferences may vary.

Raw honey is a household staple we think everyone should have. You can use it in tea, put it on toast, and even cook and bake with it. One of our favorite ways to cook with honey is to create a delicious marinade with it for meats and vegetables.
We bottle our honey by hand in our labs to ensure quality and purity in our process. Our honey is named based on the types of plants the bees pollinate. The nectar of each plant gathered by honey bees to make honey contains its unique taste, giving us varietal honey.
Varietal honey results from honey made from the nectar of predominately one type of plant. Manuka honey, known for its distinctive flavor and natural properties, is a prime example. Since we do not add any extra flavors to our honey, it will not taste exactly like the plant it is made from. However, each varietal has its unique taste, and you will get delicious hints of the plant it was made with.
Prepare to be amazed by the wide selection of varietal honey available. Many of our customers are pleasantly surprised to discover the rich diversity of flavors that honey can offer. Pure honey retains essential nutrients and natural flavor compounds often lost during processing, making it a more flavorful alternative. Join the honey revolution and experience a world of sweetness with Bee Inspired Eastern Shore Honey.
